Seafood Gumbo review by Kimberley
I ordered the cup only. I wish I had ordered the bowl. Eating this delicious gumbo transported me back to Louisiana where I lived for a few years. I could picture an old Cajun in the back room kitchen making magic in their gumbo pot. It's that good. For a few minutes I was back home on the bayou. Christie's has my heart. See you there !

Christie's fried shrimp are always big, plump shrimp, fried to perfection, and absolutely delicious! No one does seafood better than Christie's. My husband, Jeff, and I have been going to Christie's for almost 50 years, and we've Never been disappointed. The service is always exceptional, with many attentive and friendly servers. You'll be returning to Christie's often.

Famous Fried Shrimp served with French Fries and Salad review by Kevin
I have been a fan of Christie's ever since I was a young boy and I have very fond memories of my Dad bringing home a huge box of Christie's delicious fried shrimp from their S. Post Oak location and was hooked with that very first bite! That location closed up years ago, as have their 3 locations that were at various addresses on S. Main, all of which I've dined at in the past. Thank goodness their current location on Westheimer is still thriving and going strong as Christie's is my "go-to" spot for fried shrimp! I had the pleasure of treating an out-of-town friend to dinner last night and she was just as blown away by the fried shrimp as I have been for over 60 years now. Kudos go to those in the kitchen who continue to tantalize my tastebuds with every meal, to the attentive waitstaff and of course to the Christie family for always satisfying my cravings for fresh from the Gulf fried shrimp!

The stuffed shrimp platter is absolutely amazing. I have been dining at Christi's for over 30 years. No other stuffed shrimp I have tried over the years at other high end restaurants that would compare to Chrisiti's stuffed shrimp. They are huge servings, stuffed with crabmeat combined with many other flavorful ingredients and has always been freshly made. The condiments, tartar and remoulade sauces are homemade as they make their own mayonaise for these sauces. The flavor of the stuff shrimp with these sauces are heaven sent. I no longer work in the area and have moved a substantial distance from Christi's in Houston, but have always found a way to make it back there to enjoy my favorite dish and have gone great distances to have it delivered. I believe the magic here is their personal touch that shows thru with all their menu items. I have tried several items on their menu and they are all fabulous. But I have to admit the stuffed shrimp is still my favorite - very addicting. I highly recommend this item if you love shrimp and would definitely give them 5 stars plus and a thumbs up for serving the best seafood in Houston & caring so much about their customers. Their staff has always been very friendly and courteous as well. They are still very reasonably priced. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Christi, and I'm certain he would be proud that his family has carried his legacy thru the decades for the absolute best quality seafood in Houston. Thank you Christi's, I am so happy I found you and have referred your restaurant to many of my friends and relatives over the years.

I learned to love fried shrimp as a child child when my parents would go every Sunday after church to Christie's on S. Main St. Fried shrimp is still my favorite food I think and I had forgotten about Chrissy's. I will be 94 years old on May 24, 2027 and I want to have my birthday dinner at Christie's. I will look forward to that. Just can't wait. Thank you Christie's for having the best fried shrimp in Houston.

The batter is so delicious I didn't even want to have sauce. But, the sauce is home made and so good I had to have at least a little. Delicious! There is no better fried Catfish and Shrimp anywhere in Texas!

Wonderful! I have been visiting this fantastic restaurant since I was a child and their fried shrimp has never changed. It is the absolutely the best in Houston. The operator and General Manager, Maria is so kind and welcoming and the serving staff is very friendly and professional. It is also one of the very few restaurants that I have visited that do not rush you in and out. You are welcome to sit, visit and enjoy your meal without feeling like you are being pushed out the door for the next customer. There are so many things I love about Christie's. If you haven't tried it, you are missing out on this great legacy restaurant.
